Emily: Hello and welcome to Group 4's page. Throughout the year we will be updating this page with interesting information about our robot (tech-no-bot). The Song we will be doing is Turn me on by Nicki Minaj so we have decided that we are going to dress our robot up a little bit like Nicki Minaj! We have some great ideas with this song and hopefully they will work well with our robot:) These names are the owners of tech-no-bot!!:

19/3/2012 Today we all spent a lot of time trying to finish the Robot's building. Jacinta was working well and attached the back wheel to the robot. Without the back wheel our Robot wouldn't be stable. Emily then attached the two front wheels which give the robot for more stability. We then realised that the Robot was not stable enough and Emily attempted to fix it. The robot then callapxed and we were in trouble. Sophie was great and maneged to make the robot a bit more stable and attached the robot back together. Today we finished building and we also worked a lot better with each other. We got what we wanted done and all completed our goals that we aimed for. We all participated in completing the robot and on Wednesday we look forward to starting the Robots dance!! Emily
We have checked with Mrs Cooper and she has looked at the lyricsof Turn Me on and guess what great news! We can do Turn Me On :) We have been working very hard and we have accomplished great things.
30/6/12 today we had to bring in own costume and get it orginized. our group's song it turn me on by nicki managi and we based our costume on nicki. i brought in some leprod print pantes and some purple material but we did not use the purple material. emily brought in some mini leprod print headphones and sophie brought in some hair or the robot and this is what the robot looks like with and without the costume.During today's session we also did some of our dance, and we are 20-30 seconds into it. our group has been working really hard on our robot even though the robot broke a few weeks ago and we are happy to be back on track. we had to match the moves with the beat of the music. I was surprised that there were so many moves that our robot could do since we found out that our robot could not turn. our robot looks good and we have found new moves.I have also learned a lot more about robotics and i enjoy doing it. Robotics is getting funner each week as we are programming our dances. We have really been concentrating on our dance and we have been doing parts of our costume as the week go on. Our song for the dance is Turn me on and that is sung by Nicki Manaj so we have decided to dress our robot like Niki.It has some purple and whit hair, some leopard print head phones, and a leopard print dress that we are still working on so that it is able to take on and off the robot. We are thinking of starting our robot on this long part of material so it looks like our robot is on a runway, but when it does its moves we are going to programme it to go off the carpet so that the moves run more smothly.Robotics is getting much funner and I'm really liking working with my group. We are really having a lot of fun with the robot especially when we are programming and designing and putting it in its costume. We have had many difficulties throughout the year with things breaking, not having enough peices for things, disagreements over confusion and plain frustration when things in programming get frustarting for example when we were not able to download the dance onto the robot becaus eit would not allow us!
Robotics is a great subject it makes you think and explore.
We are well under way with our dance at 45 sec, we keep reminding our selves that thers not much left! Our costume is going great and we having many ideas that are leading to success!

Today we went up at lunchtime to work on programming our robot dance. The time wents so quickly but we maneged to complete 11 more seconds of our dance. We have now done 45 seconds! We have taken a few risks in our dance but overall t looks good. Our costume looks amazing as it has many good attires to it. It has a leopard skin coat and some earmuffs to go with it that are leopord print aswell. Our inspiration to our costume was nicki Minaj as for she is the artist of turn me on. below is the song we will be doing. I used a new technique that I found on the site oliver called tube chop. today we finally finished our 1minute dance. during this lesson we added 15 more seconds to the dance and it looks great. we have fixed our costume and it is ready to go. since our starting point was removed we had to work out were to put it because it went out of the square but that it is done it does not go out but it commes really close but that will get us more marks. we have got alone really well together as a group and we have really enjoyed all of the challenges that robotics brings. robotics had made us think and we also havem learnt to problem solve. jacinta
